10 Trends

(1)Economic Turmoil, (2)Green Power, (3)The Senior Market, (4)Discount Retail, (5)
Local Business, (6)Education, (7)Parental Outsourcing, (8)Health and Wellness, (9)Texas, (10)Affordable Alcohol. Those are the 10 trends that are hot right now and i will pick "Green Power" to talk about. clean energy is the most popular kind on the envirunmental front. If the money being spent around is any indication, that's just the tip of everything. Cleantech Group, an industry research company, said venture capital investment in clean technology-including solar, biofuels, batteries and the smart grid-overtook IT and biotech for the biggest piece of the VC pie. The sector swiped 27 percent of all investment dollars in the third quarter--that's $1.6 billion.

Roy Kroc

Kroc had parents that were Czech in Oak Park, Chicago, Illinois, in 1902. he partnered with the McDonald brothers to open and franchise additional McDonald's restaurants. Kroc created a new kind of fast food with McDonald's. it was like the fastest and best tasting this anyone in the USA had ever tasted in such a short time. Mcdonalds was just a massive money maker because Ray Kroc was a brilliand man and a brilliant man with an idea is one of the most dangerous things in thei world today. In after McDonalds, Kroc made various foundations for alcoholics, and started the Ronald McDonald House foundation

Sam Walton

Sam Walton was born to Thomas Gibson Walton and Nancy Lee. during the Depression, Walton had lots of jobs to help make financial ends meet for his family. In 1945, after leaving the military, Walton opened a store. He had a $20,000 loan from his father-in-law and $5,000 saved from his time in the military. The first true Wal-Mart opened on July 2, 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. It was called the Wal-Mart Discount City store. He launched a determined effort to market American-made products. walton had no idea that he was creating a giant. He had the will to find American businesses who could supply stuff for the whole Wal-Mart chain at a price small enough to meet all the compitition. walmart is one of the most efficient stores in the world because the shelf life of there stuff with when they restock it all down to minutes and that is a very powerful atriburte to have because it means you never over stock and you are always selling everything.

Conrad Hilton.

rise, then the depression hit. He never gave up and started boarding up rooms and cut down on ink on the inkwells. Then all the people started to chip stuff in to keep the El Paso hotel. The depression made him stronger and better because it made him almost go threw bankruptcy and anything like that was dumb. Hilton used the war to his advantage and made money from the feeding people. He got married to some gold digger named gaga. He bought a hotel called the seven and changed the name to “the Conrad Hilton”. Hilton said if he had waited one more hour he would of never married jaja. Martha Stewart

Martha stewart was just nuts all round. She had the brains, the looks, the drive. she had everything she ever wanted and this drove her to wealth. i could compare her to arnold swartzenegger. Just everything she did was successfull, nothing she did would fail because hse wouldent let it. she didnt evrn know the word fail. She knew what she wanted and she was going to do anything to get it. she ran her own business, she was a model, she went to school. She was a forse of nature, she loved catering and everything she did. she is a money maker and thats all. Martha Stewart was one of the most briliant entereperners and was just nuts.

Randy Pausch

First point is not to be arrogant. because he said it will hold you back in life and you will never relize you full potencial. Loyalty is a two way street. You have to give some to win some because everybody is in it for themselves. Try hard to get the things you want. If you put you all into the stuff you want then you will most likely get them. How to choose the right thing to use your time is hard, you just have to say no. Defend you creating time ruthlessly because you dont get to send alot of thinking time in a day. Interuptions: takes about 6 - 9 min and a 4 - 9 min recovery time, 5 interuptions = 1 hour which is mind blowing. Time management is all about everyone collectively getting stuff done. Time is a ballance and randy noticed that people with wives got their PHD's faster than the people with out and he found that this was wierd because it was like having a built in boat anker.

Car wars.

I thought it was a very good experience and didnt know how easy it was to sell to people with the right price and the right location. we sold out everytime andf would like to do it again and it was a real learning experience threw all the other days cause we had them at a high price and it worked alot better at a lower price because everybnody bought them and loves them. we didnt do very well on the first couple of days i dould apply this to my life by doing it again with the school. I apply it my life is that i could rent spaces later in life and that speed is key as well as price and locations, so if i ever do something like this then those things will be key in my success.

Toms Shoes

Tom's Shoes started out as a small company and when they sold a pair of shoes, another pair would be given away for free. The day it was heard about, on his website 220 pairs of shoes were sold but he only had 120 so he had to go back to Argentina and make more. By October 2006, Mike had sold 10,000 pairs of shoes. When they sold shoes or gave them away, the workers would not just send the shoes, they would put them on the childrens feet and get to know them. Mike's story is very strong, he didn't just start a company, he started a movement. People didn't appreciate the shoes at first by thinking they are ugly, but once they heard the story behind the shoes, they fell in love. I think this is awesome people, just starting a little company has turned into a world wide support group who just love Tom's Shoes. He spends his marketing on his customers instead of advertising because that is already taken care of. Mike has given over 70,000 pairs of shoes to kids in South Africa and Argentina. This is such a continuing movement that will never end.

Arnold

Shwartzneger was just a rediculous human. Hes was uccessful in everything he did. literally everything, i watcherd the video and i didnt hear anything that even implied that he failed. he was just a successful man and nobdy could stop him. everything he did was successful. it was like he was living in his own little world and did perfect in everything even promoting the sport and acting it was just like he could not and would not fail because he didnt know anything else other than winning.

Google.

Google is unbeleavably popular because nobody is likle them, they are such a different company and envirunment that they are so far ahead of everyone that nobody can catch them. they push to just change a 100th of a second of their search times and always take every oportunity. they are such a chreative envirunment and let people work on what they want even if its not that great. they are jus6t alowed to be inovative and chreative whenever they want and are encouraged to be all of those things. google is just brilliant because its just a brand new thing and is way better than any of the compitition.

Blue ocean strategy

A blue ocean strategy is one that has no compitition and is basically making a brand new market. its like making a product that no one else has its like a brand new thing and its lie an every day product, so everyone else has to buy it because its like a way of life. take aviation for example, there was no market for aviation and when it started was just a massive market that everyone wanted to get into and some companies just doninated and mad massive amounts of money. If you're successful in a blue watter business then you will make a fortune. Re due market bondries. Focus on everything but the numbers. get the stratigic sequence right. overcome the biggest hurdals. Build exicttion into strategy.

Foldio

I think foldio is an alright idea its just people DO have briefcases... why would you ever buy this product if they just ahad a brief case. its just like a new kind of case but the same concept... i'm not shure why some people are so dumb but they are and this is a bad idea because all you need is a briefcase and you will not have the problems just like foldio. i guess it keeps you paper a bit safer but other than that there is no change i would use this product. i would just use the briefcase that I already have.

Element Bars.

I dont think emement bars are a good idea because it costs so much money to actualy make it, when in the end it wtill really is only a granola bar. yes you can pick whatever you want in the granola bar but is it really worth it when you can just go to the store and buy 5 times as much for the same price that might not be your favorite but do you really care about a granola bar that much to pay that much money for it? i dont think so because you can make a 5 minute trip to the store and plus there aret that many people who eat that much granola bars... so all i nall its a bad idea.

Bobble bro.

He wanted to go into malls because he said he was missing a whole bread of people and he said he could put them into malls to get that crowed of people and to get there money from the bitch ass bobble heads. Then rape and pillage them and there families for all there money too because who would actualy pay 100 bucks for a bobble head? people go to the mall to by a 100 dollar shirt or jeans and not a fuckin bobble head. only a complete handicap kid in a wheelchair would buy one of those. The guy is a fat mess and should loose some weight.

Dave Thomas.

Dave thomas was comepletely self made and nobody could touch him when he got going because he was a harder worker and pretty much was better at everything compared to all of the compitition. Dave had a full time job at the age of 12 and was the manager of his own resteraunt at age 22 and was also very good at it. Col. Saunders was one of Daves biggest partner because he had the idea and dave knew how to promote it and then the really hit it of from hear because of there two very different but well thought personalities. dave thomas was hardworking and had good ideas and thats why he was so successful in the fast food business, becuase of his good and inovative ideas.

The enterperners were not succerssfull because it was a longshot anyways, when you put collage hunks hauling junk and collage foxes packing boxes besaide eachouther and compare them. they really are 2 different aproches to the same thing except why would you want good looking young laddys lifting your couch down the stairs...? just doesent make sence because one concept already worked so how would the oposite wok also? it just doesent make sence.

How people can apply this to their life is just basically become or find something that you rae extreamly passionate about and just go with it but also at the same time you always need to know when to quit. another way you can apply this to your life is just looking at there huge business dicisions and making the same ones that they did (only the successful ones). other than that you just have to be an inovater and do stuff your way because if you do it someone elses way then your not gonna be succerssful becausae someone has already done it and its "old news".

The hunks are successful because they have passion and experience in this department and are already successfull business owners. what sets them apart is that they know how to market and make their business public and also they know how to work and who to hire. they were just well intended and also had good hearts so that there business bommed and made a ton of money. you just have to have the right attitude.

Hunks & Foxes.

I didn't really learn anything form hunks because they didn't get into detail at all about what the had done differently to all of the different companies so nothing really from the hunks... but from the Foxes I leaned never to invest in a extreamly dumb company because Foxes packing boxes is probably the dumbest idea i've ever heard because they cant lift as much and it would be inapropriate for families and also alot of sick fucks could just keep calling them up and over all its a dumb idea.

Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs was the creator of apple and was fired when it was worth about $2,000,000,000 and he was saying that if that didn't happen then he wouldent be where he is today because when he got fired he made three new companies one of them being named "pixar" and pixar was the most successfull business in the animation business and apple computers are really into the visual stuff. So apple joined with pixar and then Steve was back into the mix with apple an is now a "big wig" in apple and the owner of pixar. So steve was a very successfull business man because of every experience, negative and positive the same and he started himself from nothing so its possible, but not probible for anybody to do something like this.

Shark Tank - Mr. Tod's Pies.

His company might be a good investment but the thing is a pie company can only get "soo" big and comparing it to a for example a technology company can expand into other fields and be components to other fields and make even more money wereas pies kind of just stop at pies... so thats the reason I would not invest in his company because he is already pretty big and i just dont see him getting that much bigger, so really he has hit a small platue of buisness. I wouldent invest because there is nothing he can upgrade to or change to, its just pies... period.

Rockefeller

Rockefeller raved about how much money he saved and not how much he made and that was part of why he got so rich and how he made his money. He started so many oil and gas companies some that are still in busness today ie. esso and chevron. the rockefellers are now worth about a net balance of about $5,000,000,000. they were the first billionairs in the U.S.A. and ran the oil fields and almost had a monopoly on the U.S.A.. This was the most inovative family in the early years of the U.S.A..

Who am I.

Determined, I have to be pushed to a point but once I am at that point i will get what I want. Nothing else metters.

Belief, Standing up for what you beleave in is one of the most important things in life because it forms the way you live and act. Its is always good to question the unknown and create your own theorys on things like meaning of life and creation because there is no right and wrong answer.

Science, I love science because it speeks from knowledge, facts and never from beleifs. Don't get me wrong though, they do have theorys but the difference between theorys and for example some religion is that theorys arent claiming anything (they are an educated guess) whereas some types of religions are claiming that they "know".
